Ranbir Kapoor returns 10 crores for Tamasha loss
Ranbir Kapoor has seemingly
returned Rs 10 crore to the producers of Tamasha, UTV and Sajid Nadiadwala,
reported Miss Malini. Tamasha was sold to the distributors at a very high price
due to the golden pairing of ex-lovers, Deepika and Ranbir. Although the film
won critical acclaim, it failed to make the kind of money expected out of it,
thus making it an average grosser. To make the movie more viable for the
producers, rumours are abuzz that Ranbir has apparently returned Rs 10 crores
while DP has returned Rs 5 crores so that the distributors don't suffer high
losses. Co-incidentally, Anurag Kashyap too has decided to return the cost of
production to producers Fox Star Studios for the losses incurred by Bombay
Velvet.
