Sherlock Holmes 3 Script In The Works; Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law Want To Return
Lionel Wigram, producer of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes films, revealed that a third film in the franchise is in the works and both Robert Downey Jr. ('Sherlock') and Jude Law ('Watson') are "very, very" interested in reprising their roles.
"We’re working on a Sherlock Holmes 3 script” Wigram told IGN while promoting his latest collaboration with Ritchie, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. "I think we would all love to do one if we could come up with something that really was really going to knock it out of the park and was going to be the best of the three. So we’re working on that – it’s quite hard to do."
This should come as no surprise as the second film in the series, A Game of Shadows, banked $545M at the worldwide box office in 2011.
Listen to Wigram's comments in the video below.
The Man From U.N.C.L.E. will arrive in theaters August 14th!
