Further, according to DNA, Dr. Arpita Sharma of IHM Pusa conducted a study on over 100 people who consumed Delhi’s street food and subjected them to tests for microbial infections. The study pointed out that the primary reason for this contamination was one, unclean water, and two, unhygienic cooking conditions. “Most Probable Number” (MPN) of E.Coli bacteria in street food is about 50 or less as per the Central Pollution Control Board. But the food samples that were put to test from Connaught Place, Rajendra Place, Subash Nagar, and markets like Rajouri Garden had as much as 2,400! Yes, that’s insane and can cause severe cases of cramps, diarrhea, food poisoning, and internal inflammation. So, beware guys, you don’t want to be eating shit!
Very good website, thank you.
