Kullu cafe doesn't allow Indians to enter
It's a cafe in Kullu, but Indians are not allowed to enter this establishment. Apparently, it is an 'Israeli cafe' where locals and non-Israelis cannot enter. And this has led to massive outrage on the social media.
"Our friend was denied entry but her friend, who is white, could walk right in. The Israelis, who strip search you when you land in their country, and come here to seek nirvana, and behave as if this is their fiefdom and this they do in the name of old hippie culture. You see, nirvana isn't for you. You are just too trapped in the matrix of your own segregation. Besides, how did they even get permission to run such a cafe here?" Karan Singh, a Gurgaon resident, posted on Facebook.
Delhi resident Stefan Kaye of Stiff Kittens Inc also vented his anger on Facebook, saying the cafe owner has been denying entry to non-Israelis and said he was asked to leave when he confronted. "I confronted the owner and accused him of discrimination, he then tried to shoo me out. It transpired that the owner is in fact Indian and has visited Israel every year for the past 15 years" Kaye wrote.
The Kullu Deputy Commissioner said action will be taken against the cafe owner if the allegations were found to be true. "I have directed the SP to look into the matter. Action will be taken against the persons if found violating the rules," Kullu Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kanwar said.
